Short: DIY Gap
Vest: Marshalls
Tank, Hat & Shoes: Target

This is what I wore to see "Transformers". It was a good movie but it a little drawn out. I didn't have any jean shorts so I decided to cut some old Gap jeans I had in my closet that was collecting dust. I think they would look even better after I wash them.

Some Questions Answered

Gabrielle emailed me some questions and here are the answers......

1. What are, in your opinion, the necessary/essential pieces needed for a great shoe and wardrobe collection? I guess I just would like to know what clothing pieces you can't live without.:
I think a statement shoe that you can wear with a lot of things is essential. You can wear it with something plain and it would make you look polished. Something that I think is essential for a wardrobe is dresses. You can dress them up or down. All you have to do is add some accessories and your outfit is complete. Something I can’t live without at the moment is my blazers. I just love them. To me they complete an outfit. And now that it is summer I love my jellies:)

2. How do you plan your outfits? (The night before or right before work)
Honestly I don’t plan my outfits. I just wake up and put on what I feel like wearing.

3. Where do you get inspiration for your outfits?
I get my inspirations from whatever I see. It could be other bloggers, magazines, TV etc….. A good source of inspiration is Chictopia. I love seeing real people wearing clothes their own way.

4. How much is the most you would pay for the following at the Goodwill/Thrift Store (non-name brand items)
Tops/Blouses: $20
Dresses/Skirts $20
Shoes/Boots $20
Jackets/Coats $50
Pants/Shorts/Jeans$20
The reason I ask is because I am here in NYC and the Goodwill is EXPENSIVE!!!
I went yesterday (you've inspired me, LOL) and there were tube tops in there for $15.00 while I could probably get the same tube top at Old Navy for less.
Do you have a limit on how much you spend on an item when thrifting?
I am verrrrry cheap when it come to shopping. So I don’t spend a lot. I always look for sales. Lately I only been shopping at the Goodwill & Target. The last time I was at the Goodwill I got the blouse I wore in the Vintage Lace Post & 2 dress I only spent $15 and got three things. New York cost of living is higher so what would cost me $5 here in Georgia’s Goodwill would cost you $20 in New York. Try to go the Goodwill in smaller towns it may be cheaper. But definitely shop around. If you can find cheap prices in other store definitely shop there.

5. Lastly ... for now ;D
I would like to know about these shoes you bought from Target.
Specifically the gold snakeskin and the silver jeweled pumps ---> http://jaylovesvintage.blogspot.com/2009/01/shoes.html
Are they comfortable?
Yes they are all tolerable lol, but my most comfortable heels are the studded shoes
from Shi.

If you have any questions about anything please don't hesitate to ask. You can ask me a question by leaving me a comment on my posts or feel free to email me: jaylovesvintage@gmail.com.

I am really not a big fan of animal print but this dress was an exception. I love it! I love the placement of the print. It's super comfortable and it has pockets. Gotta love a dress with pockets.
